PTU Now FTU- Sizzlin' Summer

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind. 
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working knowledge 
of PSP and was written using PSP XI, 
tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: The fun & flirty Summer Breeze kit 

from Tasha at Tasha's Playground.
This was a PTU kit but you can grab it here.
*Leave some love for the kit.

Tube: I'm using the lovely artwork of Alex Prihodko- Midnight Lady 
& she's 'dressed' in a set that was specially made for this tube.
You can find both the tube & clothes at Pics For Design.
Do NOT use this artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased the tube.

Filters: Scanlines
Xero- Radiance
Alien Skin Xenofex 2- Stain
Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow 

Font: Devil Breeze

Drop shadow used in this tutorial:
 -2 4 50 5, black for the template, tube & name.
0 0 40 4, black for the elements.

Let's do this! 
Save your progress often.

Open up the template. 

Duplicate it & close original. 
Delete the credit layer at the top 
& white background layer at the bottom.
Change the canvas size so it's 700 X 650 px, 
so there's 10 extra px on the top, 90 on the bottom.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:

top right pink rectangle- 

Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 9, resized 70%.
Hit delete & select none & add a drop shadow.

bottom left black rectangle- 

Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 11, resized 70%.
Hit delete & select none. 

Add a drop shadow.

pink rectangle stripes- 

Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 1. 

Hit delete & select none. 
Crop to canvas & add a drop shadow.

black rectangles- 

Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 4.
Hit delete & select none. 

Crop to canvas.

blue rectangle- 

Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste paper 3.
Move the paper up a bit in the canvas, 
to get some of the yellow on the right side.
Hit delete & select none.

frame backs- 

Select all. Float- Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste papers 7 & 8, resizing both 70%. 

Hit delete for both.
Add your closeup to the right side. 

Resize as needed. 
Hit delete & select none. 

Crop to canvas. 
Now go back & erase that any excess that overlaps 
from the papers & closeup, if needed.

Duplicate your closeup. 
Change the blend mode of the bottom one to Luminance (L).
On the top one, add a gaussian blur set at 5.
Change the blend mode to Screen.
Add Scanlines to the bottom closeup at these settings:

white frames- add a drop shadow.

stripes- leave as is.

feel the heat- add a gradient glow at these settings:

word art- use your manual color correction tool to change the 
colour to a light blue. 
Add a gradient glow at these settings:

and add your drop shadow.

Next, copy & paste your main tube. 

Resize 35%. 
Position her off to the left.
Apply Xero- Radiance at these settings:

Then apply Xenofex- Stain at these settings:

Finally, add a drop shadow.

Now let's get some elements added.
The drop shadow I used is 0 0 40 4, black.

Add the sand. 

Position over to the left.
Duplicate & mirror. 

Merge down. 
Move this layer below both your word art layers.
No drop shadow.

add your sandcastle below the word art layers.
Resize 75%. 

Move over to the right. 
Sharpen. 

Add your drop shadow.

palmtree- Position behind your main tube.
Move it up a bit in your canvas. 

Add a drop shadow.

surfboard- place behind the sandcastle on the right.
Add a drop shadow.

Back at the top in your layers palette, add flower2. 
Resize 65% & sharpen.
Place on the top right corner. 

Add a drop shadow. 
Repeat the drop shadow a 2nd time.

flipflops- Resize 55%. 

Position to the left.
Move below your tube layer. 

Add a drop shadow.

cupofshells- 35%. 

Place near the sandcastle. 
Sharpen & add a drop shadow & repeat the drop shadow.

cocktail2- Resize 50%. 

Sharpen.
Place on the left & add a drop shadow.

Add both the shells. 

Resize them between 25- 30%.
Duplicate each & scatter them about, 
resizing the duplicates an additional 80%.
Add a drop shadow to each, 

repeating the drop shadow.

flower5- resize, sharpen & scatter them 
like you did the shells, rotating each 12 left or right. 
Add a drop shadow to each.

Add the cloud. 

Position in the top left, like my example.
Send to bottom in layers palette.
Add a drop shadow.

sun- resize 45%. 

Place in top left with the cloud.
Send to bottom in layers palette. 

Add a drop shadow.

birdie- Mirror. Resize 30%.
Place on the top part of the word art of the temp.
Sharpen & add a drop shadow.

Add any other elements you choose, 
to make this tag more your own. 

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.

Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now add your name.  

Add a bevel:

Then add a gradient glow:

Then add a drop shadow, 
going back to -2 4 50 5 for the drop shadow settings.

Merge visible, save as a PNG & enjoy.
