PTU- Steampunk Sweetheart

I wrote this tutorial about a month & a half ago,
before I put my Steam Punk'd kit in the stores.
I didn't get a chance to post this tut then,
so I'm going to post it now for you, 
as I work on getting caught up.

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind. 
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working 
knowledge of PSP and was written using PSP X2, 
tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: I'm using my Steampunk'd kit.
You can find this in my little shop.

Tube: I'm using the artwork of Cris Ortega, who's a FTU artist.
Do not use any artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased the tube.

Masks: mask of choice.

Filters: Mura Meister's Copies
Xenofex 2- Constellation
Xero- Radiance
Xero-Porcelain
Eye Candy 4000- Gradient Glow

Font: Big Top

Drop shadow: 2 2 50 4, black 

Save your progress often.  

Let's do this!  

Open a new canvas 650 X 650 px.
Copy & paste the gear cluster. 
Apply Mura Meister's Copies at these settings:

Then apply your mask.
Merge group & resize 90%.

Add some sparkle with Xenofex 2- constellation:

Next, copy & paste frame 5.
Resize 80%.

Now, use your magic wand & click inside the frame.
Modify- expand by 4. Invert.
Copy & paste a paper of choice, 

resizing about 75%.
Hit delete & keep selected.

Add your tube, resizing about 80%.
Use your eraser to erase some of the excess at the bottom.
Select none.

On your tube, apply Xero- Radiance
at these settings (or your own):

Duplicate it & then, add Xero-Porcelain:

Then, add your drop shadow & 
add a drop shadow to your frame.

Now we'll add some elements.
For each one I added, I added a drop shadow to, 
unless specified otherwise.

roses- 70%
Place on the right of the frame.

pin- 47%. Rotate 17 right. 

Sharpen.
Place with the roses.

clock- 60%.
Place over the lower half of the roses 
on the right.

key 2- 50%. Sharpen.
Place over the clock.

pocketwatch- 40%. Sharpen.
Place over the bottom of the clock.
Use your lasso & make a selection around 
the chain & hit delete:

Select none.

charm- 50%. Sharpen.
Place on the top right of the clock.

fan- 50% Rotate 29 left.
Sharpen. 

Place on bottom of frame.

coins- 55%.
Place on the left of the fan.

deco- 50%.
Place on the fan, off to the left.

ladybug- 27%. 

Rotate 42 left.
Sharpen. 

Position on the top right.
Drop shadow- 10 6 50 4, black.

word art 3- Copy & paste 'Steampunk'.
Resize 80%. 

Add a bevel:

Drop shadow- 2 2 50 4, black.

Next, copy & paste 'Sweetheart' from the word art.
Resize 90%. 

Add a gradient glow:

Add your drop shadow.

Add any other elements if you prefer.

Crop & resize to your own liking.

Now add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Now add your name.  
Add a bevel:

Then, add a gradient glow at these settings: 

 

Then add your drop shadow.

Finally, merge visible & save as a PNG & enjoy.  

Now, I did make an animated version, 
with the constellation effect on my mask layer:

But, personally, I'm not happy with having 
the white background. lol

Either way, I hope you had fun trying this tutorial.
