PTU Tutorial- Skull Love

This tutorial is borne from my own manipulated lil' mind. 
Any similarity to any other tutorial(s) is purely coincidental.
This tutorial was written for those who have a working 
knowledge of PSP and was written using PSP X2, 
tho' any version should work.

Supplies Needed: 
Scrapkit: I'm using the stellar My Skullie kit from Toxic Desirez.
You can find this kit, here.

Tube: I'm using the stunning artwork of Martin Abel.
You can find this artwork at CDO.
Do NOT use any artwork unless you have a license to do so 
& have purchased or obtained the tube legally.

Template: TTsTemp_18 from Twyzteds Playroom.

Mask: Mask of choice.

Filters: Tramages- Marble Madness One
Penta- Jeans
Xero- Radiance
Xero- Porcelain
HSB Noise
Eye Candy 4000- Gradient Glow 

Font: Fancy text

Drop shadow: 0 0 65 8, black.

Save your progress often.  

Let's do this!  

Open up the template. 

Duplicate it & close original. 
Delete the credit layer at the top.
Working from the bottom layer of the template, up:

Copy & paste Paper 11 above the white background layer.
Apply your mask of choice & merge group. 
Resize as needed. 

Duplicate.
Change the blend mode of the duplicate to Multiply.

Raster 10- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert. 
Delete this layer & paste Paper 8, resized 80%.
Hit delete & select none. 

Crop to canvas.

Raster 11- Using your magic wand,
click between the two white borders.
Selections- Modify- Expand by 2.
Add a new layer & flood fill with a gradient of choice.
Select none. 

Move this below raster 11 in the layers palette.
Apply Tramages- Marble Madness One at default settings.
Add a drop shadow to the white borders layer.

Raster 5- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert. 
Delete this layer & paste Paper 1, resized 80%.
Position it so it fills the circle. 
Hit delete & select none. 
Crop to canvas. 

Drop shadow.

Copy of Raster 5- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert. 
Delete this layer & paste Paper 5, resized 80%.
Position it so it fills the circle. 
Hit delete & select none. 
Crop to canvas. 

Drop shadow.

Raster 4- Select all- float. Defloat.
Delete this layer & add a new layer.
Flood fill with a gradient:
Foreground colour- white 
Background colour- a medium colour from your tube
Angle- 45/ Repeats- 4
Select none. 
Apply Penta- jeans at default settings.
Add a drop shadow.

Copy (2) of Raster 6-  Select all- float. Defloat- Invert. 
Delete this layer & paste Paper 7, resized 75%.
Position it so it fills the square. 
Hit delete & select none.

Raster 9- drop shadow

Raster 6-  Select all- float. Defloat- Invert. 
Delete this layer & paste Paper 9, resized 75%.
Position it so it fills the square. 
Hit delete & select none.

Raster 8- drop shadow

Copy of Raster 6- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert. 
Delete this layer & paste Paper 2, resized 75%.
Position it so it fills the square. 
Hit delete & select none.

Raster 7- drop shadow

Raster 2- Select all- float. Defloat- Invert.
Delete this layer & paste Paper 6, resized 75%.
Hit delete. 

Select none.

Raster 3- drop shadow

Next add your main tube. 

Resize as needed.
Position just off to the right of the tag.
Apply Xero- Radiance at these settings:

Add a drop shadow.

Next we'll add some elements.
For each one, I added a drop shadow, 
unless specified otherwise.

Bat- 33%. Mirror.
Place this little guy on the upper right.
Move him below your tube in layers palette.

Ribbon- Duplicate.
Close the top one for now.
On the bottom one, resize 60%. 

Rotate 90 left.
Position on the right.
Move below tube in layers palette.

Un-hide the duplicate ribbon & resize 50%.
Position on the bottom like my example.
Again, move below your tube in layers palette.
Then, use your manual color correction tool 
to change the colour:
Source- #231d1d
Target- #042060 (or colour of choice from your tube)

Evil Tree- 55%. Mirror.
Place to the left of your tube.
Move below the 2nd ribbon in layers palette.
Apply Xero-Radiance at the same settings 
you used for the tube.
Then apply Xero- Porcelain at default settings.

Gravestone- 30%.
Apply Xero- Radiance to brighten it just a bit.
Then place to the right of the tree.
Move to just above the tree in layers palette.

Moon- 27%.
Move up above the tree.
Move this below your tree in layers palette.

Body Bones- 37%. 

Rotate 17 left.
Place on the left in the middle of the boxes.

Bow 1- 55% 
Place in the top left corner.

Kitty- 33%. Mirror.
Place him on the left side, near the tree.

Books- 30%. 
Place this on the lower left,
in front of the kitty.

Candle & Skull- 27%. Mirror.
Place this with the books,
off to the right of them.

Flower 3- 35%. 

Rotate 15 right.
Position this on the lower right of tag. 

Flower 1- 25%. 

Rotate 15 left. 
Move this to just below the other flower,
on the left. 

Duplicate & mirror.
Place the other one above the first 
flower like my example.

Candy 1- 27%. 

Rotate 17 right. 

Sharpen.
Place on the right side of tag.

Skull 1- 25%.
Position this on top of the body bones.

Bug- 15%. Place on the lower part of the tree.

Sparkles- 80%.
Move these down just slightly in your canvas.

Add any other elements, if you prefer at this time.

Now, crop/ resize your tag to your own preferences.

Then, add your proper copyrights & watermarks.

Next add your name.

* For my tag, I omitted the last letter 
of the name in the text box & added it 
on it's own layer then mirrored it
to get the 'backwards 'n'. I then positioned it
with the rest of the name & merged down.

Rotate the name 17 left. 

Duplicate. 
On the top one, add a bevel:

Then add a gradient glow to the bottom one:

Next add HSB Noise at the default settings.
And a drop shadow.

Finally, delete the white background, 
merge visible, save as a PNG & enjoy.
